Day 7 of NJPW Best of the Super Jr. 30 Sees Mike Bailey Fall to Taiji Ishimori
Top points-getters went head to head in Aomori as Mike Bailey battled Taiji Ishimori. The match quickly spilled to the outside where Ishimori sent Bailey crashing into the steel ring post. Moments later, the fans scattered as Ishimori threw him into a pile of chairs. Back in the ring, Bailey gained control with a flurry of kicks, followed by the running Shooting Star. Luckily for Ishimori, he evaded Ultima Weapon but Bailey connected with a springboard corkscrew instead. Ishimori countered another Ultima Weapon attempt into a reverse Bloody Sunday. Ishimori then secured the Bone Lock to win by submission. Bailey is now 5-2 in the tournament and tied for 1st place in the A Block.
